I am a professionally qualified counsellor & therapist working in central London, based between Dalston and Stoke Newington.
I offer a safe, confidential and supportive space that is tailored to meet your individual needs and the challenges that you are facing.
Counselling is your space to explore thoughts, feelings and issues you may be facing. It allows you a time to be with yourself in a supportive environment, allowing an awareness to begin, encouraging change, personal growth and a new way of being in the world.
Personal growth and acceptance are at the centre of my belief in counselling and psychotherapy. I have worked with a broad range of issues that clients have been faced with. These include anxiety & depression, feeling stuck, destructive patterns with alcohol and drugs, abuse, loss, sexual identity issues, relationship and psychosexual problems and many other issues that may arise during life.
I also work with people who may not be in great distress, but simply want a space to be themselves fully or explore a change in life direction. I work from an understanding that it’s when we take up all of our ‘being’ and ‘wholeness’ that acceptance and integration takes place, which then promotes an openness to life, self and relationships.
I believe that good therapy, with time, leads the client to support his or her ‘self’ in a compassionate and emotionally articulate way. The work then becomes internalised and carried within, a ‘befriending’ of one’s self.
At the heart of the therapeutic work is the relationship between therapist and client. Therapy is a very personal relationship and it’s vital that you find the right therapist for you. I am happy to meet with you for an initial session and then explore how you would like to proceed.
I am a member of The BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) and adhere to their code of ethics.
